How do I subscribe to the Gospel Hall Forum?

Go to the GHF’s information page:
http://www.ghforum.org/mailman/listinfo/ghf_ghforum.org

Enter your login details in the section SUBSCRIBING to GHF, then click 'Subscribe'.
You will be taken to a second page to enter your "qualifying" details.

You will receive an email with a confirmation code.  Click on that link to activate your subscription request.

Once you have been approved by the moderating committee, you will get an email welcoming you to the forum and providing a password to allow you to access your membership options and posting archive.

 

 

How do I unsubscribe from the Gospel Hall Forum?

Unsubscribing is a two-step process.

1. Go to the member options login page:
     http://ghforum.org/mailman/options/ghf_ghforum.org

    In the box labelled "Email address:", enter the email address that you would like to
    unsubscribe from the forum.  No need to enter a password in the next box.  Click the
    'unsubscribe' button in the next session. 

2. By clicking on the "Unsubscribe" button, a confirmation message will be emailed to you. The
    message will have a URL that you can go to in order to complete the removal process. (There
    will also be instructions on how to confirm your unsubscribe request by email.)

This confirmation step ensures that only you or the administrator can remove you from the forum.

 

 

How do I find my subscriber password?

Go to the member options login page:
     http://ghforum.org/mailman/options/ghf_ghforum.org

In the box labelled "Email address:", enter the email address that you would like to unsubscribe from the forum.  No need to enter a password in the next box.  Click the 'remind' button in the "Password reminder" section. 

 

 

How can I send a posting to the Gospel Hall Forum?

The Gospel Hall Forum is a closed mailing list.  Subscribers to the forum may post their questions, announcements or prayer requests using the following instructions:

 

 

How long before I see my posting?

In order to ensure the integrity of the forum, we have enabled 'moderation' for all users.  After you've sent a posting to the forum, it will be held temporarily until the moderator reviews the posting.

We try to approve postings within 12 hours (and often it is much less) however there are three main reasons why your posting may be delayed:

If you are still concerned about not yet seeing your posting come through the forum, feel free to contact the administrator to see if the email is still pending approval.

 

 

Why was my posting rejected?

Postings may be rejected by the moderator for various reasons.  Please make yourself familiar with the Gospel Hall Forum Guidelines to avoid having this happen. 

The rejection notice that you receive should include a reason for the rejection.  Examples include:

If your posting was rejected for one of the first three reasons above, please feel free to correct the posting and resend it to the forum for re-consideration.

Please note that as a private email forum, the moderating committee reserves the right to reject any posting that is not in the best interest of subscribers in Gospel Hall assembly fellowship.

 

 

Why am I not receiving emails from the GHF?

There are a number of reasons that your emails may have stopped - unfortunately, most of them are out of our control.

If you were a subscriber and your emails have recently stopped:

If you have recently subscribed to the forum but have not yet received any postings:

  1. Did you complete both subscription forms?  Both pages must be completed or else the subscription request is discarded.  If you did not, please go back to the subscription page and fill out both forms again.  If you did, continue to step 2.
  2. Did you click on the confirmation link that was sent to you in the email.  This link activates your subscription request.  Each link is only good for a short period of time (approx. 48hrs) so you will likely need to fill out the forms again and ensure that you click on the link when it arrives in your email box.  If you clicked on the confirmation link, continue to step 3.
  3. It can take up to 10 days for the moderating committee to look at a subscription request and make a decision.  If it has been longer than this, please contact the GHF administrator.
